This is my second draft, a progression from some of my first drafts with another variation.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLDS END(2007):
Just close your eyes and pretend it’s all a big dream, thats how you get by. – Jack Sparrow

DREAMCATCHER: Represents the method used by Jack Sparrow when he faces a hard time-to pretend and it will all go away. E.g. Nightmare to represent the hard times and the dreamcatcher to catch them and get rid of them.
*Note: Dreamcatchers are used to get rid of nightmares.
OCTOPUS: The octopus represents Davy Jones that is the one that is threatening Jack Sparrow, hence it is sitting and manipulating the dream catcher.
COMPASS: The compass in the middle features the scene in which the quote was said in that Beckett was asking for Sparrow’s compass.
THE GREAT GATSBY(2013) :
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past. -Nick

When anyone searches the great Gatsby, the first image that pops up is this particular image showing Gatsby holding a champagne glass and toasting.
From this particular image, I did the design based on it’s concept of him holding the wine glass which explains the wine glass bottom below the hands to capture the scene that the skeleton hand is holding the wine glass.
SKELETON HANDS: At the end of the show Gatsby dies, which is why it is represented by a skeleton holding the wine glass instead of his hands.
CLOCK: To represent the time element in which Nick was contemplating the significance of the past to dreams of the future at the end of the show when the quote came out.
CIRCULAR GLOW(top of hand): It is used to symbolise the GREEN LIGHT seen in the show that represents Gatsby dream, which is Daisy. It can be seen that at the end of the show he is trying to reach for his dreams but at the same time he is unable to let go of the past. Which is why i decided to put it above the hands such that it would seem as though the hands are trying to reach for the light, only to be blocked by the clock in the hands.
