The following are my designs and how it’s related to the movie/quote.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLDS END(2007) :

Just close your eyes and pretend it’s all a big dream, thats how you get by – Jack Sparrow

TENTACLES: It is when jack sparrow is finding a way out of the deal made with Davy Jones to find his heart – therefore the tentacles at the bottom to represent Davy Jones.

DEVIL FIGURE: The dream is a nightmare which represents a bad dream interpreting that jack sparrow is having a rough time which is why his dreams will be a nightmare-represented by the devilish figure in the design.

THE GREAT GATSBY(2013):

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past. – Nick

ROMAN NUMBERS: During the scene, it shows a green light where it symbolises the significance of the past to dreams of the future which is a time element- represented in my design with the clock numbers in an unorganised state.

SKULLS AND BOW: I would interpret the quote to be as much as Nick wants to move forward with his life, he is constantly reminded by Gatsby’s death and the past events. Thus, I put the two skulls to represent death of Gatsby(with Gatsby’s bow on the skulls).

DOLLAR NOTES: As Gatsby is a millionaire, I represented it with the dollar notes on the top left corner.

FISH AND WAVES: To insert certain parts of the quotes in, the waves and the fish is used to include certain aspects of the quote in.

CIRCULAR BORDER: Lastly, I used a circular shape to not only make the whole outlook of it a shape of the clock, but also that every time one tries to forget the past and look forward, they are unable to, which feels like a constant LOOP as one keeps reliving the past events.

THE CROW(1994):

IT CAN’T RAIN ALL THE TIME – Eric

SUN: There will be better days, sun to represent a better day from the rain

FEATHER: The feather is used to represent the crow that resurrected Eric and is somehow Eric’s source of immortality.

BLACK BORDERS: This is because in Harry Potter, Dementors are blind hence, sense and feed on the positive emotions of human beings in order to survive. Dementors seem to suck all the light and happiness from the air as they draw long rattling breaths, and cause darkness to close in everywhere and the victim to feel incredibly cold.

CANDLE: During the scene, Dumbledore uses a candle to represent light so i put in the candle to signify the scene.

BONY HANDS: He was mentioning on how to take precaution from the dementors, which is why the hands are bony- representing the dementors.

LINES/DOTS: The Patronus Charm( A white bright LIGHT in the show) summons a Patronus- a magical manifestation of good will and happiness to ward off the dementors. Therefore, happiness and good will are represented by the radiating lines and dots from the flame that is ‘warding off’ the bony hands.
