Media Art Nexus Progress Week 4 & 5

It’s been a long time since I’ve touched OSS, but it isn’t more apt to consolidate all the updates I have had over the weeks.

Turns out, trying to merge a seemingly cool concept from the West and East is insanely difficult, but under the guidance of our Prof and Guest lecturer, I’ve managed to lock in some ideas. Instead of paneling the white screens of the Chinese Ghost story, the appropriation of Mario Brother’s map can be set as the main angle instead.
Above is an initial illustrator map up on the NES Color Palette (the main palette of my project), a gimp map illustration for colour reference and the tentative super mario platform in the widths of Media Art Nexus wall.

in order to reference my previous artist, JAVIER ARRÉS, I’ve also started colouring some panels to make it more modern

Another method is to cut these elements into the mario world.

For the whole of next week, I’ll be focusing on mapping out a mario map for the Media Art Wall that has a more Chinese influence/ take to it.

I’ve also found an online editor that allow us to use a Mario Ghost Map.!!!!
