Foundation 4D: Project 1b (In a world…)

So, our second project was to create characters using the same methods as our previous project. Like the first project, I created all of the characters using Photoshop. I mainly made use of the Subtraction and Superimposition methods.

Character 1: Eva

This is Eva, a shadow who has lost her human. In the world that she lives in, shadows are friends and protectors of their humans (almost like guardian angels). To no surprise, Eva’s story will follow her journey of finding her human. (I named this character Eva because Eva means “life” or “living one” according to Google. I just thought it’d be cute that a shadow, which is normally not a living thing, is named that.)

Character 2: Zenith

Introducing Zenith -the boy who can read and decipher codes by merely touching technology. He resides in a world very much like our’s. A world where information is power. A world with rapidly advancing technology. With his very special skills, Zenith truly embodies his name. He has a natural upper hand and he makes use of it. But not for good, unfortunately. Young Zenith is an information dealer in the underworld.

Character 3: Frey

Victim of human experimentation, sole survivor of a tragedy and conductor of electricity, Frey has been through a lot of hardships -way more than a teenager should have to go through. With no one she loves left in her life, Frey goes on a suicide mission to annihilate an established organisation in revenge for her a friends.

In a world obsessed with genetical superiority, organisations dedicated to creating the ultimate human race rose. It was public knowledge that orphans were taken in and used for human experimentation, but no one said anything against it. No one tried to rescue them, so they had to take matters into their own hands. After years of careful planning, the children carried out their escape.

One by one, they fell by the hands of the scientists. Their plan crumbled into pieces. In desperation, they split up, each one fighting hard to get away with their lives, but their efforts were in vain. By the time the sun rose the next morning, the children were gone completely, as if they had never existed.

What the scientists didn’t realise was that there had been a survivor. The girl they thought had been killed by lightning had lived and she had become stronger. With her new powers, Frey swore to get revenge for her friends. Whatever the cost.
