2D Foundation 2 Project 2: Adventures in Siglap

On Sunday, I visited Siglap to recce the place for Project 2: Zine. To my memory, I’ve never been there before – in fact I’ve only gone to the Bedok area once, briefly, years ago. What I found was pretty interesting.

Gee, I wonder why this chip shop was closed -
Gee, I wonder why this chip shop is closed –
Oh.
Oh.

It turns out Siglap is extremely similar to Serangoon Gardens, where I live! From the residences to the shophouses to the roads… if I accidentally took a bus here instead of back home, I probably wouldn’t realise it for hours.

There was also an alarming number of ‘self-care’ services here: massage parlours, reflexology centres, beauty salons etc. Not that they were very popular.

As evening approached, birds emerged in force. Going back to roost.

I’m probably going to make a second trip to get more of a feel of the place. Will update with more observations.
