Urban Circuitry: Expansion of Abstract Inking

Standard

I find it captivating to watch as the resulting visuals are moving wildly.
Just a gradual push with a stick, produces fine line quality. Blowing and swirling mixes the ink and acrylic mixture further to recreate unexpected imageries.

Visual: Abstract Ink Effects
Technique: Liquid Acrylic Drawing with Black Ink

*Recess week’s mid-term progress, explorations had been updated into the previous old post, Thus this post will only show final collection.

Final Test Run
Water : Acrylic = 3 : 7

The compilation of raw footage is the amount of abstract forms taken from a single run. After the previous trials, I had gotten used to the consistency of the diluted acrylic mixture. I kept the general surface area at 3:7 ratio, slightly closer to a dense concentration. But at some area, I sprayed additional water or use a syringe to blow the mix, to dilute the base further; the workspace had stretched out from just experimenting the interaction between ink and paint, and toward to the possible methods to create different visuals.

Motif Developments

These visual sets are 1st set of abstract forms extracted from the raw library, highly contrast to create individual “beings”

The final composition is the arrangement of the chosen motif, instead of just reflecting and duplicating. I kept the motif individual to themselves for most and create a sequential layout.  The core represents the natural unaffected spatial void. Abstract forms flourish at this centre, While at the edges, represent the intrusion of urbanisation; the aerial view of cityscapes.preview
