TINTED COLORS

Study:

[from an artist reference]

Blue, purple, and brown colors to show the ‘darkest’ colors.

Final:

The dark colors are produced because of high concentration paint which actually it is not so dark but looks dark in the composition.

Audio

ADDING SOUND

Of course the work will not be complete without the sound. The sound is to support the theme of nature and human’s activity.

Background music is taken from youtube sonder-chillmax. It is a music made by phone ringings. Other sound effects are city noise for the day sound, cricket chirping for the night sound, and lamp switch sound.

Testing onto Media Wall

The audio is not properly played during testing because of soft volume. Also, the music is not satisfying enough to the whole animation. Thus, I decided to change the audio.

Updating Audio

This would be the final work of Windows Civilization

Updates include changing background music to be more, changing dynamic of the volumes, make overall volume louder. Other than the sound, I find a way to remove the flickers. I have to render my file into frames (PNG images), then edit the flickered frames one by one. Yupe, it is tedious but finally the flickers are gone.

Time to Animate!

STORYBOARDING

Here is the final storyboard of my work:

The whole animation produces different mood and theme of the work. It is not only city nations where we can only see diversities. But, the growing flowers show that nature takes its course to our world which seems the characters do not care about. Depiction of our civilization in the dying world. Because of these reasons, I change the title from City Nations to Windows Civilization.
