For this project, I planned on using illustrations to depict the “ego”.

Sketches and Lineworks

I like drawing girls partly because, well, I am a girl after all. I also enjoy drawing the human form and I thought that if I am doing twelve compositions with a united theme, this would be perfect.

So I experimented with some colours at first!

I used the marbling technique using glass paint on water, and after dipping paper onto it, I let it air-dry and scanned the textures.

I loved how the figures went so well with the marbling, and I decided to experiment some more.

I tried using different hues for the background using white figures after scanning in my linework, but the white linework didn’t turn out too well as it looks too plain.
