Humans dream, then wake up thinking it is just an illusion and nothing more, as simple as that. However, little did they know that the very first dream in their life that they had after developing a sense of recollection plays a huge role in their future dreams.

Welcome to Mea’s Castle of Dreams in the year 2090.

This is neither an extravagant stone castle, nor a castle with a royal family and its soldiers. Rather, it is a 80-storey bouncy air castle in faded primary colours and patched up holes, inside the head of Mea. 20 Dream Technicians – small beings with missing noses and elongated bodies, known as the Piu species – maintain this castle, but are having problems continuing due to old age.

About the human Mea:
She just turned 80 years old in a local nursing home. Since two years ago after her husband died, she was sent there by her only son, who has never visited her after that. Basically she is just living from day to day. Like many of her fellow nursing home ward mates, she requires help to get around for everyday tasks, but that is the only attention from the nurses that she needs. Her ward mates calls out for nurses ever so frequently for attention, but she doesn’t. Instead, she quietly sits at the side of her bed next to the window, looking down at the nursing home’s entrance in a distance, taking note of the people entering and leaving the place. When it gets dark, she has her dinner and goes to sleep.

You are here as trainees from the School of Dreams to learn from the Pius on how to maintain someone’s dreamland (in this case it’s Mea’s castle of dreams). Once the Pius think that you are good enough to start work as an official Dream Technician, you will then be finally sent to meet your very own dreamland that you are supposed to maintain – the dreamland of a child that just developed a sense of recollection, and had his/her first dream.
