I’ve titled this project | | | O | | |

It’s a iconization of the visual of this project, the | being the lasers and the O being the face in the middle.

Firstly, the entire experience really turned out to be better than expected.

From getting the lasers, cardboard, learning to solder, hooking it all up to a power supply and Read more →

For the mid-sem analog version, I intended to have the lasers set-up for this version.

However, I couldn’t find anywhere in Singapore that sold lasers for cheap. Ended up paying $20 for 3 lasers that weren’t very bright or bright enough to show up in the fog.

Quite worrying, considering I still needed videos. So I tried to figure out means of Read more →

UNDER SCORE

Under Score is an interactive installation that challenges two players to play a game of soccer confined within the space under the table, relying only on their sense of hearing and touch. Players can hear the position of the ball through the headphones connected to a color tracking patch.

Idea: To use technology to further enhance the experience of emulating that of hong kong coffin housing.

Initially, we planned to use proximity sensor that triggers audio and visual based on how far a person is from the box or in the box. We managed to get processing and arduino communicating with each other where arduino send the sensor value inputs Read more →

We started out with a quirky and fun idea of building a giant bowl of meepok but due to constraints we re-thought up our ideas. We arrived at the idea of building a box-shaped object with and interior of reflection and lights where the objective was to transport viewers into another space through the illusion of the infinite.

In the second part of this installation, I added sensors that will trigger siren and objects to obstruct people to take the candy. One pressure sensor will be place on the floor where the weights will be, this will trigger the siren. While another pressure sensor will be below the weight to turn on the object that will swing 360 Read more →

Construction: For the second phase of the project, I twisted two wires to reinforce its strength before taking a third wire and twisting it around the wire loops. The result is a slightly more rigid, yet flexible piece of metal that can be readjusted often to change the path, and hence the difficulty Read more →

So for my assignment, I’ve decided to create the penultimate in looking glass technology. I’ve decided to hot glue all 6 pairs of glasses.

I also decided to experiment with the idea of warping someone’s line of sight as I realized that adding additional lenses wasn’t entirely going to increase the overall degrees. It was more of the Read more →
