@ Song Yu

For my zine, i decided on the theme of Metamorphosis,

with the butterfly as my motif.

I wanted to capture the idea of Mental Metamorphosis with

my zine, for the zine to transform and change as the viewer read it.

I planned my zine as an experience rather than Read more →

With the final setup, i added additional particle effects as well as

increasing the contrast and highlights.

For layout, i configured the flowers in a directional manner, similar to

Blossfelt’s work.

Initially, I had a few ideas for my zine that differed very much Read more →

Process

Using the fractal program Apophosis, i played around with different

parameters, trying to create different patterns to use as the base for my

flowers.

In Apohosis, you can make gradient maps out of existing images

@ Birdkeeper Lea

Truth be told, I don’t have much process photos for Zine so I’ll be combining everything into one huge masterpost!

Iskandar Ruhaizat

As we strive towards perfection, we become stagnant once we felt that we reach the zenith, and soon rest on our laurels. There is a lack of willpower to constantly improve due to complacency. As we perfected ourselves, we tend to want to Read more →

@ JULIANA

Actually I had trouble coming up with a common theme for my zine because the main topic for it was alcohol. I wanted to do something similar to my research, such as the pop ups or the different shapes layout for my zine, but it was hard to implement them in the context of alcohol. There wasn’t any inspiration for Read more →

@ JULIANA

I was pretty clueless about what’s a zine and how it looked like and how to go about doing it, so I went to pinterest to hopefully clear my doubts and pretty much, I found some zines that were interesting to me.

What interested me in this bee design was that while most zines were basically rectangular in shape, this Read more →
