Tourism in Singapore

In the piece, there are two windows to represent the two different sides of tourism in Singapore. One is the heritage tour, which have the more traditional aspects of Singapore, and in the piece, those are the old shophouses lined up in Chinatown. The window frame is also one found in the shophouses to invoke a sense of nostalgia. On the other side, it is the more commercialized form of tourism, represented by the skyscrapers we can easily see in the central area. The window for this side is made of glass, and the skyscrapers are towering over us, to give a feeling of coldness and intimidation.

All Singaporeans knows that for Singapore to continue prospering, we have to constantly upgrade our infrastructures. But I believe that we should continue to preserve our heritage and keep the ‘old’ buildings intact, not only for the sake of diversifying the kind of tourism Singapore has to offer, and also to allow future generations of Singaporeans to know and enjoy a different side of Singapore.20151007 - (1) 20151007 - (2) 20151007 - (3)

  1. You are doing well. Your site is caught up too. Next time brighten your drawings in Photoshop first. Increase the contrast. These are very dark and although I know how good they looked you can’t see them here. But get job.
