Foundation 4D (I):Project 2: Reflection: Image & Text (Task 2)

We were tasked to come up with a photo essay and I’ve decided to based mine on the importance of family support and how we are taking it for granted and how much we ought to cherish them while we still can.

Through my photo essay, I also hoped to address adolescents running away from home out of rebellion. There are bound to have disagreements and conflicts among family members, what we all need to learn is to forgive and forget.

Title of my work: Cherish

These images are like a tribute to my grandfather, who passed away when I was 5. I definitely still have memories of him as he always brought me out and doted on me the most out of all my cousins, however, the memories are fading. Hence, I would like to make use of this opportunity to create something to remember him.

By using my grandfather as an example, I highlighted the lost memories I could have had with him, had he still be around. The whole story took place inside of my mind and are all from his perspective, putting the viewer on a journey through the eyes of my grandfather.
