Drawing of Hairdryer

Perspective of Hairdryer

We were tasked to draw the 3rd angle projection of an object, the isometric drawing and also 2 point perspective of an object. I chose a hairdryer as it has many curvy spots which made the exercise challenging. I  chose the scale of 1:2 as the hairdryer was a bit too big for the A3 paper. I then took measurements and scale it down and try to make a drawing as to scale as possible for the 3rd angle projection. For the isometric drawing, I did the same thing, scan and resized it using Photoshop to produce the result as seen in the 2nd picture (Drawing of object).

This exercise helped me a lot as it allowed me to better view an object and draw different perspectives of it clearly and accurately on paper. It also made me noticed details of an object I have never noticed before. Overall, it was a good experience as it trains the eye for detail and teaches one how to put it down on paper for others to have a better reference and understanding of your product which is essential in product design.
