@ My_site

This week we etablished groups to work on the final project; Creating a user experience.

Beforehand, I had prepared different refined ideas of how to activate dead spaces in the MRT as shown below:

Also in our group for the last project we decided to work with activating spaces in MRT stations where we localized three possible main areas where we can to create an user Read more →

@ Timz Space

Problem: It can be dangerous for pedestrians when sharing footpaths with cyclists and personal mobility device users.

Solution: Augmented Reality Pavements

Augmented reality in the future may provide information on-the-go but this could at times be distracting and lead to accidents. This project seeks to conceptualize a more clutter free experience with a focus on features to keep pedestrians safe when walking along Read more →

IDEA 1: Virtual City Tour

Problem: When travelling, I find walking tours to be extremely insightful and interesting. However, I often wished that I could have had my own space and own pace to explore the area instead of keeping to a time limit.

Proposed Solution:

An augmented screen based tour inspired by the Alter Bahnhof Video Walk, to guide the viewer’s perspective, Read more →

Idea Project 1

Problem: Unable to travel around the world due to high cost Idea: To be able to ‘see’ through cities in motion.

I had thought of the idea when I took my pet hamsters out of their cage and into the hamster ball for their daily exercise. The ball allowed the hamsters to freely roam about my larger house unlike Read more →

Idea 1

Problem

The lack of social interaction on public transport. Passengers onboard are unwilling to move in.

Proposed Solution/ Idea

Through the use of technology, social interactions on public transport could be created by connecting people. This can be done by replacing the walls of buses/trains with interactive wall or floors. These walls not only serve as a platform to connect people, it also Read more →

South Korea actually launched a new campaign to remind commuters to give their seats to pregnant women, it is pretty interesting and ties in with your Idea 2. Check it out! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxpjfnOTLzs
Hi Katie! Just a few thoughts that I had. 1. I have always thought of how to make trains more interactive by adding 'dance' steps on the floor. But I think the digital interface provides more ways to create more games to play too! 2. I do like the idea of scraping the 'reserved seat' sticker and introducing coloured seats. I thought that the project could be like, traffic light colours. It's more based on the user's responsiveness. Users get to plan if they are willing to give up their seat - Green. Users who are feeling a little tired/carrying too much but still willing to stand - Orange. And users who are totally not willing to give up their seats - Red. The Chip idea is also great, wondering how you can pair them together. 3. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sixtostart.zombiesrunclient&hl=en And here's a zombie run experience that was created before. It's an audio experience and includes challenges as well.
Really love the video you linked; almost exactly like how i vision it :) Thank you for the feedback, i will take them into considerations!
thank you for the link! Seems like a great idea to incorporate, I will take them into consideration :)

In class we discussed the process of design thinking and methods to help improve and develop your ideas and did a really cool exercise.
