Finalise concept: [The Journey to the Beginning] -Comments**

“The Journey to the Beginning”

(Finalise title not confirm yet)

Flashback or transition, going back into time…

My film will be a collection of images that i took during the days spent with my grandparents. I will be showcasing both the time-lapse moment and also single images.Travelling to Hainan to visit my ancestors, i love capturing the moments which i spent during the 1 week. In this film, i will be portraying the documentary process of images from the photo album, which eventually leads to the middle sequence… and finally the end( Back in Singapore routine).

During the documentary film, there will be voice over and also the surrounding atmosphere sound which brings the images to life. I was actually inspired by this film director- Wang Bing who filmed the three sisters- the filming actually took place in China.

Here’s the break-down sequence for the documentary film.(Planning diagram) Will be adding more images in-between the empty spots

The first cut is only 7 sec (images taken during my trip to Hainan), The second cut will be up very soon (Still adjusting the voice over now)

Comments comments!! Give me comments for both the concept arrangement on how my video will flow and also the video posted hehe !! Thank you

  1. HELLO AGAIN MEL
This is a cool idea as well! I think the documentary idea is a nice one! The pictures so far look good::) Just wondering if you’ll be in the pictures as well or will you be remaining as the narrator/impartial,, omnipresent voice? Cos so far it’s just pictures o your granny and grampa::)

  2. This is so sweet! Your grandparents are so adorable! The photos say so much about their relationship as a married couple especially in the 3rd sequence. I get the three sequences and I think they work well. Waiting to see how you will transition from sequence to sequence, with the voiceover maybe? Or adding more photos in between with subtle differences until the picture kind of ‘morphs’ to the first picture of the next sequence (if that makes any sense)?
