So once the quotes were selected, we had to proceed with the project by forming a poster, or illustration, an indirect one, for each of them. A plethora of ideas and my indecisive nature put together, needless to say, I changed my designs a number of times, considering the suggestions from my friends and valuable feedbacks from Mimi.
So I started off by breaking down the quotes and finding images that are relevant to the key words in them! Here are a few images, that I initially planned to make my designs with, and have actually been used in some of my final ones!
1. “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.” — Rafiki, The Lion King
3. “Hakuna matata.” — Timon and Pumbaa, The Lion King
The moment I saw this quote, the very first thing that came to my mind was Warli paintings, so I decided to go with my instincts, and browsed through a few of them, before finalizing!
The distinct structure of the human figures and the apt representation of tribal life was some thing that went really well with the background of the quote!
2. “Beauty is found within.” — Narrator, Beauty and the Beast
4. “Let it go.” — Elsa, Frozen
