After years of research and studies, humans have finally found the answer to sustainable transportation; gone are the days of using fossil fuel powered cars, trucks and buses. Hover boards is now a reality and it has become the default mode of transport for humans.

Over the years, a breakthrough in battery technology has allowed scientists to contain large amount of energy into a spherical casing that fits palm size. This new form of battery were labelled as the Orbs. When it finally reached maturity, the technology was ready for mass production and distributed to consumers and it eventually replaced electricity as the main source of energy.

With this new form of energy, humans had to rethink the concept of transportation. To take advantage of the portability of the orbs, a new kind of transport was invented: the Hover boards. The core concept behind this vehicles is inspired by the conventional skateboard that is fully automated and could travel across all terrains including water, snow and dirt.

When an orb is placed within the hover board itself, the transformer inside will extract the energy from the orb and power the thrusters, enabling the board to lift itself off the surface. The rider controls the board using his/her feet. There is an in-built control on the board that allows the rider to maneuver in whichever direction. The latest revision of these hover board is able to travel at maximum speed of 100km/h and could easily last an entire day of travel on a single orb.

Aside from these hover boards, alternate forms of transport include the racers ( the car equivalent ) and the vessels ( the train equivalent ). These modes of transportation utilizes the same source of energy, the orb to power and it has the benefit of carrying more than 1 passenger. That being said, The Hover boards have become the preferred choice of transport, for its portability and the speed.
