Lai! One Pack Kueh Tutu Please (4DII Project 3)

Hi there! Uploading just in case, wasn’t sure if just one group member is to upload it or all have to do it.
BUT I AM POSTING ANYWAY. CAN YOU FEEL MY EXCITEMENT?

We’re so thrilled to present something that has potential continuity for other installation series. For now, we have chosen the quintessential Kueh Tutu as our subject matter.

For easier view, please head on to https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1iPbYMAomaQ5dUwOAlUbg-xzgk4IFWcrdZloRcIceHu0/edit?usp=sharing

It was crucial for us to get support from local vendors distributing kueh tutu.
We are happy to get our support from Gold Tat Lee Pte Ltd!
Thanks so much!

To Us – Clara Edit

I’m very inspired by Wongfu and their daily dialogues. Their ability to relate. So this transcipt/narration is inspired by their short named Untouchable they had this line that was super insanely memorable.

“can’t you see. you let the person who said they couldn’t live without you. Realise they can.”

Also together with drake’s songs I came up with the narration.

So that’s my approach to my cuts.
Together with music that help give cues to the time of day, the change of mood.

Foley wise, i really had a lot of fun trying to match sounds that were recorded via the footage as well as online resources. Also, I added the element of morse code. Just to give resemblances to SOS. Like she needs help, she needs to get her life together.

Foundation 2D II: Project 2 Part I Visual Research (Final)

After streamlining my research, my sketches (featured in my Visual Journal), project 2 has really been exciting for me. Before I dive deep into how I made the infographic, here are some images of the site visit.

Overall, here are some of my key focus:
Target Audience: netizens, aged 18 to 35,
Tone: Neutral point of view, instead of taking a stance of right or wrong, stating facts and purpose to educate. Meant to be pass forward from friend to friend. Attention shouldn’t be focused on crime rates etc.

Research Deck:

Challenges: Travelling to Geylang, site recee can be relatively dangerous for girls.
The dilemma of breaking away, should I cover the RLD? or other features. After the consult, I have concluded that it would really be a waste to not dive deep into the vices of The Even Lorongs.
Technical wise, it’s really hard to have a signature style?

What I could improve on: Over the next few weeks, or towards the zine, I really want to try to explore using illustrations, which I lack greatly but I feel need to try and improve on. I personally feel this might be too generic? I will really promise myself to try to push forward an illustration style if possible. I know I am bad at it, but at least try.

What I’ve learned: So much!!! Generally how to survive around Geylang, for science and research lol. It’s super amazing that our nation is maintaining and legalising sex work with the necessary barriers like health check etc. Everything in moderation and it’s such places that give a country a certain flavour? Not everything is clean and green.
