Ideation // Freestyling

I’ve never thought that “a line is a dot that went for a walk” until 2D class; and that actually made a lot of sense!

I was quite lost at the beginning, not knowing where to start, thus I searched on various reference artists, explored with the elements of design and experimented several methods and techniques learnt in class, and one of which would be monoprinting.

I tried using leaves, scrapes, thread, strings and a few other materials to try out the different shapes it can create. I then moved on to linocut to create duplicating stamps of the same design, hence creating different moods and emotions with a story/rationale.
