Ideas:
1. Firstly I associated the pacifier to babies and mothers. Where the pacifier is a item which helps silence the child to give the parent some peace and quiet.
2. After much thought, I started to see the pacifier in the pov of the user. The user probably enjoys it like candy, something worth exchanging their speech.
Spending their time getting addicted to it.
3. The pacifier seem to start to look like a symbol or an icon that represents youth.

Meaning:
Associating the pacifier with stuff/environment that children will play with.
Stuff Toy and Environment
Meaning:
Trying to portray the pacifier with a cigarette, to take away the innocence of the item and concentrate on just
the view on how a baby thinks of a pacifier. Like a smoker looks at their cigarette.
In my opinion the similarities on how a smoker is with their cigarette and how a baby is with their pacifier is uncanny.
When you take away a pacifier/cigarette from their user they would be upset however when they have it, they feel contented.

Task 1: Pacifier
Meaning:
Using the environment to give a different meaning to a pacifier.
Meaning:
Trying to use the railings to portray an endless road and the pacifier signifies the beginning.

Task 2: Subvert
Description:
Instead of plugging the mouth of the child, how about plugging the ears of the parent?
Description:
The environment outside is black and white to represent silence, and the color represents noise.
Which is contained inside the pacifier.
Description:
Subverting the meaning of a pacifier to a cigarette and showing the process of it.
(The meaning is the same as the one in my rough concept)
The neon lights represent how high and happy the users are when they have the item.
( Personal Note : The security guard was just at the other escalator )

The pacifier is facing the audience, thus it is a action to tell the viewer to put in a pacifier
and stay silent. Since the environment in a library. The word silence is meant emphasis the message.

Difficulties/Challenges:
- The pacifier has two sides, which is the handle and the plastic side. It is difficult to try to angle it in a way that the viewer knows its a pacifier and that it is in the best angle and focus.
- Trying to take away the idea that the pacifier is only related to babies.
Solutions:
- Taking the pacifier till the angle is the most dynamic.
- Think of ways and meanings similar to the a pacifier.
