He faced obstacles during his way back home as a result slowing down his speed.
Marcus lost in the battle against time.

and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
i think your story and the effects brought about from the heavy steps was really cool and it caught my attention and curiousity. didnt know what they were at first but the revealing of Time at the end was a real surprise. so i like how that was planned out!
