Updated Moodboard / Would like to focus on vintage matchbox designs as a reference.

Use of black outlines and line detailing, with bright, stamp-like primary colours: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue. The stamp texture gives the image a sense that there are different layers to the composition. There is a surreal vibe to these designs, usually featuring animals and people, especially fish. The positions of the animals are neatly posed or poised, which I would like to emulate with my motifs.
