To create art through destroying, deteriorating the quality of the work to create a new quality that is its enhancement through destruction. Group members are: Reuben, Bryan, Kaiting, Yinghui and me.

Performance art by setting a digital print of Mona Lisa on fire.

concept

Using Mona Lisa as an icon of traditional art, the act of burning the portrait makes a statement about rebelling against the traditional rules of how art should be e.g. realistic, chiaroscuro, etc. There is a sense of liberation as the portrait gradually disintegrates into ashes. The work is broken down into its raw material, transforming into a new ephemeral body.
