I believe arts were involved through the ancient times, it is being reflected through many different interpretation such as sculptures, carvings. Despite the limitations of resources, sculptors are still able to do up carvings on walls with sticks and stones.

Everything else concerning the arts and design were then, Holistic, not just for function, consumption, consumerism. When designs and art were so so much more meaningful, spirited, and present in larger scales and relates so, to culture rituals rhythms habits and the many reasons for life, for living.
